If you have ever thought about running a 5k, even if you have never done any running before, you must have looked at it in some depth. While running a 5k race doesn’t compare to the grueling and often unforgiving marathon distance, it’s still fairly tough and requires a high level of personal fitness. When you have accomplished your goal, you will feel very proud of yourself for all that you have accomplished and how far you have come. You will have a great deal of respect for yourself, for not just having dreamt about something, but also actually achieving it.

Every journey, whether long or short, starts with just one small step. Your first step was getting hold of this book, which will serve you as a training manual.

It covers all aspects of running: starting out, choosing the right sort of shoes, understanding all the changes your body will go through, avoiding injuries, ways to improve your fitness and endurance, and ways to achieve your goal, right through to the race day and beyond.

When you finish reading this book, though you may not be ready to run a 5k yet, you will know all about running one, and will be able to get ready for it. This book will provide you with all the necessary information to get ready.

So you are thinking about running a 5k? The 5k race is the most popular distance run, and there are usually thousands of events all around the world happening all through the year. A 5k race is basically a race spread over 5 kilometers or 3.1 miles, which will take an average person about 30 – 60 minutes to complete. Some people, of course, can do it faster. The fastest time ever recorded for a man completing a 5k was 12 minutes 37 seconds, which was accomplished in 2004 by Ethiopian distance runner Kenenisa Bekele. The fastest women’s

time was 14 minutes 16 seconds, which was set by Meseret Defar in Oslo in 2007. These people are super humans, however.

The comparatively short distance means that it has an appeal to most people who would like to start running that just need a focus and a target to aim for. This could provide an excellent motivation to get fit and in good enough shape to start running long distances. Some of the most popular races have tens and thousands of participants, of all ages and from all wakes of life. If you are just starting out and are worried about the level of commitment required, remember that this is much easier than running a 10k or a marathon, but it still does require commitment and effort. However, if you follow the plan and tips given in this book, you can achieve your fitness target in five weeks. It's not going to be easy, but it will be intensely rewarding and hopefully, even fun.

You will realize that all the effort was worth it the minute you cross the finish line. If you begin to lose motivation anywhere during the middle of the journey, just keep thinking about that moment of glory: the crowds cheering you on, your legs pumping faster than they ever have before, that adrenaline rush, and that newly fit body. So tie up your laces and let’s go.

I like this bag a lot. It is small and it fits my laptop perfectly. It also has ample storage space and pockets.

It looks good as well. I have had this bag for a few years and I am ready to replace it. The material is nice and it has a good look but there are things about the bag that make it unsuitable for normal use. My main gripe about that bag is that is can not stay closed. It has two tiny magnets that keep it closed for ascetic purposes but once there are items in the bag like a computer or books, it flies open with normal use. This happens constantly in my car when I brake or when it tips over. Items will fly everywhere. If you have a few papers or a notebook that you need to carry, perhaps this will be a fine man-purse for you, but if you need to carry things that you intend to keep and not bounce around your car, find something that closes.

I love this bag, it is great. It is just big enough to get what I need into it. Laptop, I pad, charger, pens, paper, and a few files. More than that and you would over stuff it. I do wish it was a bit bigger, but I can live with it.
This was an anniversary gift of the fiancĂ©, who is a school teacher. he has been wanting a nice bag for awhile, so I thought this would be a perfect surprise. I am impressed with the quality of this. The leather is in perfect condition, the rivets are pristine, and the buckles work very well. The buckles are not actual buckles, they just snap in, but this is a time saver, and will keep the buckles looking nice for much longer, and not get worn out. The strap included is great, there is a leather shoulder pad for comfort, and the strap itself is great quality with an adjustor for sizing preference. The pockets are plenty big. I was initially worried that the laptops, tablets, and everything would not fit, but there are no problems. He has fit a 15- inch laptop, a 9- inch tablet, and about an entire ream of papers (for grading) in along with the normal pens, pencils, and other material comfortably. I know this will be a bag that will last him for many years. I also purchased a leather cleaner/ conditioner, not knowing how this leather was actually going to be. In the future, he may need it, but from just purchasing, it will not be necessary.
